Do I need a child care license?

Use this flow chart to determine if you need a child care license, or if you qualify as “exempt” care.

There are two types of licensed programs:

Non-Home Child Care    |    Family Child Care Home

Each type of child care facility has its own licensing rules and specific procedures. Follow the links above to learn about the application process.
